POMPEII “Blueprint”
video premiere
Filmed in Austin, TX by acclaimed Norwegian film director Thor Brenne, POMPEII’s “Blueprint” is a look into the reckless abandon of what it is to be young.
Taking it’s inspiration loosely from the 1986 film 'Thrashin', Red Eye Transit Records' producers Amiee Gonzalez and Arian Brumby went and rounded up two of the most prominent names in BMX history, Joe Rich (T1) and Sandy Carson (BMX rider / photographer). Known individually for their histories within the BMX universe as riders, the pair were on the other side of the camera for this video, responsible for the BMX camera operation and cinematography. 'Blueprint' is taken from Pompeii's third and most striking record to date, LOOM.

“I wanted to create a video that captures the freedom of being young. The summers you spent hanging out, getting into trouble, and creating friendships over doing the things you love. BMX biking is an amazing world that brings to life the spontaneity of what it is to be young. Being from Norway, it has always been a dream of mine to shoot a video in the US and when I was presented with a chance to work with a band as respected as Pompeii, I jumped at the chance."
