Jelle is constantly on the road to document the wild Volcom crew or working with Eat Dust, Co11ectif and Farmboy. With a good eye for framing, lighting and style his work has earned worldwide respect and gets published internationally. Call him old school if you like, but he’s stoked on analog photography, developing film and printing photos to awake a special feeling that digital shots aren’t be able to give.

Worst & best things in traveling with a big crew?
Worst: You don't have time for yourself. You have to hurry up to not keep anyone waiting and at the same time you have to wait for someone.
Best: You're never alone.

What is one essential on a skate trip with a bunch of riders?
Keep calm.

Sketchiest / scariest situation shooting a picture?
Andi Welther almost dying after a slam on a rail in Sofia, Bulgaria. He went into shock, didn't get any air and turned purple. It turned out he was choking on his own tongue. As soon as we realized what happened, we turned him from his back onto his side and the nightmare was over.

When you return home after a long trip, what do you most looking forward to?
My family and good food.

What do you like to shoot besides skateboarding?
I'm not really interested in shooting anything else but skateboarding. Maybe motorcycle related stuff, but that gets really boring after a while.

Three all time fave records?
Black Sabbath - Master of Reality
Judas Priest -Painkiller
Iron Maiden - Powerslave
