Estabilished in 2012 and based in both Paris and New York, Études Studio is a collective founded by the french artists Aurélien Arbert and graphic designer Jérémie Egry. Études designs and produces men’s contemporary fashion, artist books and offers its creative services. Blending timelessness and experimentation, the brand creates clothes that are both contemporary and that tell a certain story.

True Real. This is the motto of their fifth winter collection. With it Etudes V professes the desire to join in a new world order by creating a uniform that suits today’s pluriform expressions of identity. The qualities ‘True’ and ‘Real’ are often used to create strong and uniform identities of communities in opposition to less authentic individual expressions of selfhood. Combining the words True and Real creates an absurd gesture, forming the basis for a new kind of community.
