narrative wallpaper

The photographer and graphic designer Andrew B. Myers presents a very different kind of snapshots, since they’re of an impressive high quality, very well thought-out, and often funny. Kinda like elaborate compositions with a quirky look. The Canadian artist - who’s based in NYC these days - works a lot for commercials and editorials, which certainly reflects in his photographs full of diagrams, objects and flags.

His work is very aesthetic, clean, using carefully placed objects on single colour backgrounds - and it’s these colours that bring us back to the 70s and 80s, even though his work is adding a modern twist. It’s a bit like an elaborately executed wallpaper with a small-scale narrative that makes it more than just pure eye candy.
