Bayonne

primitives

Bayonne is the moniker of Texan musical wunderkind Roger Sellers, and his debut album “Primitives“ will be finally released on October 14 via City Slang. If you carry a soft spot for forward-thinking electronic indie-pop, then “Primitives“ will be the holy grail for months to come.

Sellers isn't too interested in delivering big hooks, singalongs or even choruses, instead he's shifting layer upon layer until even the most inaccessible part of the room is filled with the most beautiful sound and noise. It's complex, hypnotic, totally engaging and impossible to resist. If you need any kind of references, imagine Steve Reich collaborating with Miracle Fortress or (early) Caribou hanging out with Owen Pallett. Or simply check out the videos below to get an idea about the genius of Bayonne.
