Mainland Chinese murder mystery “Black Coal, Thin Ice“ has won the Golden Bear for Best Film as well as the Silver Bear for Best Actor for Lia Fan at this years Berlinale.

And rightly so: what could've been played out as a simple (yet stunningly photographed) thriller turns from good to great thanks to the addition of an almost hallucinatory love story and grim vision on today's China. Great stuff, indeed. Check the first teaser below.
