Paying homage to the  achievements of black athletes worldwide, Nike’s annual Nike Black History Month collection is celebrating individuals who rewrote history and catalyzed community. Since its debut in 2005,  they serve as the driving inspiration behind BHM. This year, Nike attends to the current number one Tennis-legend Serena Williams, who broke records and redefined a sport, and NBA-Star Kobe Bryant with his unforgotten phenomenal 81-point game for the Los Angeles Lakers in 2006, to name two representatives. Within the limited 2016 collection the brand celebrates sport in a vivid Pan African-inspired color palette and custom geometric motifs.
The BHM collection 2016 starts with signature-shoes of LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, Kobe Bryant and is running from January to mid-February.
