The Brighton Great Escape
music festival recap
The Brighton Great Escape Music Festival is the biggest music festival in the South of England. It is a celebration of emerging talent from all over the world and offers an amazing opportunity for music lovers to experience new sounds and styles. The festival features both established and up-and-coming artists from various genres such as rock, pop, hip-hop, electronic, folk, jazz and more.. Every year, thousands of music lovers flock to Brighton to experience a unique weekend of live performances, workshops and networking opportunities. From indie rock bands to electronic DJs, there is something for everyone at this event. With its vibrant atmosphere and amazing lineup of artists, it's no wonder why this festival is a must-go for music fans everywhere.
The festival was founded in 2006 and roughly hosts 300 bands across 30 venues throughout the city, so its no wonder our chief editor Sven Fortmann has been there a couple of times. This year Lodown was invited by the main sponsor Marshall, an original english brand you might have heard of, which we would call a perfect fit.

Three days of music and pub life from 12 - 12 were on the menu, served in small portions with a lot of flavor. All of the bands gave stunning performances in venues ranging from tiny pubs to church halls and the delivered pints seem to be endless.
It was a blast and The Great Escape has proved to be once again a monumental success.
