Sotheby’s just announced the next edition in its series of Comic Strips sales, the first auction of 2017. This major auction will feature original pages from four masters of Europe's Golden Age of strip cartoons: Hergé (Tintin), André Franquin (Spirou and Fantasio), Uderzo (creator of the iconic French strip Astérix) as well as Edgar P. Jacobs (Blake and Mortimer).

This auction will also include a magnificent selection of top-quality American pages: Alex Raymond and his legendary hero Flash Gordon, Charles Schulz with Peanuts and Robert Crumb accompanied by the distinctly naughty Fritz the Cat. The auction will take place at Sotheby’s in Paris on January 21, 2017. See you there.
