The reviews after its premiere at Sundance earlier this year were a bit of a mixed bag, but the trailer actually looks pretty interesting, indeed. Directed by documentary filmmaker Kim Farrant, “Strangerland“ - starring Nicole Kidman, Hugo Weaving and Joseph Fiennes - seems to add some new nuances to the missing child subgenre, as the Australian thriller subverts the usual trappings this kinda plot easily offers.
