Even though it ownes quite a lot to “Frat House“, the notorious doc by former Film Threat honchos Todd Phillips and Andrew Gurland, Andrew Neel's fairly disturbing “Goat“ definitely was one of the highlights at this year's Berlinale.

The movie takes us through “Hell Week“, the ultimate climax of any pledging ritual on campus, as we follow 19-year-old Brad trying his best to walk in the footsteps of his brother Brett, who already belongs to a dodgy Greek house. “Goat“ isn't an easy watch, as a matter of fact it's a rather unforgiving experience, as it raises aggravating questions about traditions, manhood and its related rituals - nevertheless it´s a heavily rewarding one.

The film stars Nick Jonas and Ben Schnetzer and features a great cameo from James Franco.
