drawing with my eyes

We knew that some people are able to draw with their feet or that even elephants can draw with their trunk but drawing with the eyes is another thing. It requires an insane amount of concentration where cooperation and coordination are the main keys for the brain. Artist Graham Fink draws portraits by using only his eyes - for an exhibition aptly titled “Drawing With My Eyes”.

Fink worked with a programmer to develop software for an eye-tracker that would allow him to draw simply by looking at the screen. The reflection of this movement is recorded with a camera but allows him only to draw with a continuous line, erasing is not an option. Thus, it can take from five minutes to an hour to complete a portrait, depending on his level of concentration. Graham Fink has a meditation background which allows him to clear his mind as much as possible, yet the exercise is not easy, resulting in haunting yet beautifully imperfect portraits of faces.
