Gyakusou

S/S15

The ongoing collaboration between Jun Takahashi of Undercover, Japan and NikeLab has produced another well thought collection of performance running wear combining top Nike innovations with the designer's sense of individualism, innovation and speed.

Of course the NikeLab x Gyakusou Spring/Summer 2015 Collection reveals Takahashi's design acumen, but also his deep respect for Nike's performance technologies for elite runners. The silhouettes created for the urban runner were tested by Takahashi's own GIRA (Gyakusou International Running Association) racers, who famously run counterclockwise around Tokyo's Yoyogi Park.

The GIRA runners are like the street legal racers of the running world, with their inclination to modify, update and follow a different set of rules, both in training and apparel. That attitude is expressed in the collection's premium lightweight layers that redefine classic running silhouettes. Sublimated camouflage patterns create a sense of speed and blurred movement. Edges look raw but feel soft and no-sew seems lie flat against the skin just a few of the details that reveal the pervasive focus on performance and the runner's body.

The Unisex collection features reflective details for enhanced visibility in low light, secure pockets for carrying essentials and lightweight coverage for warm weather and the urban environment.
