Joy Division Remastered

an ideal for living 2014 release

1978 - Right after a Salford based band called Warsaw changed their name to become Joy Division, they released an EP called 'An Ideal for Living'.

The record has been bootlegged many times over the years and now, a "re-imagined" version will be out on April 19 for the Record Store Day. The music was mastered entirely new at the infamous Abbey Road Studios in London by the bands long time engineer Frank Arkwright.

The original 7’’ cover artwork, which was drawn by guitarist Bernhard Sumner fueled controversy ever since. For the new release, it was replaced by a defused, typo based cover design, referring to the 12'' Version of the record - a disappointment to the fans commenting on Joy Divisions Facebook page.
