Some Monsters Loom Large

“Some Monsters Loom Large“ is an exhibition of narrative paintings by Mark Thomas Gibson, showing at Fredericks & Freiser Gallery in New York until April 23rd.

Many of the paintings depict mythic and ‘trippy’ scenes of Americans in a wild west setting, amusingly the same characters are featured as different roles in different paintings, suggesting that man can be his own biggest problem.

The exhibition will be accompanied by the publication of Some Monsters Loom Large with an essay by Robert Storr.
