MONDAY MIXTAPE: chida

live rec in london may 2016

With releases and remixes on ESP Institute, an appearance on Ministry Of Sound’s „Masterpiece“ by Andrew Weatherall and being one part of Mascaras (together with Takenori Goto a.k.a. 5ive of Cos/Mes), Chida doesn’t need much of an introduction. He’s been a pioneer of the Tokyo underground house music scene from the early 90s. His label, Ene Records, may be hard to find ultra limiteds, but they live up every inch and penny of the hype they’ve created with releases by Tiago, The Backwoods, Cos/Mes, Ess O Ess, Beppe Loda, Dr. Dunks and a good bunch of others. He’s a hard traveling man and since we’ve just missed his Panorama Bar gig, we’re lucky enough Chida sent us three hours of a set he recorded in London just a few days ago.

Watch out for Chida’s newest output „Aoyama Tunnel“ on the latest Correspondant label compilation which just got released and remixes for This Soft Machine on Eskimo, Jonathan Kusuma’s „Black Magic“ on Cocktail d’Amore and Obalski's „Wind-s“ on Public Possession (both as Mascaras).

For more info on him, his releases and tour dates use the tiny little helpers of the social networks Facebook, Instagram and Resident Advisor.

And now enjoy being directly beamed back into sunday morning with his mix.
