Imagine the last day of last year’s summer, a small festival with a great line up in one of Berlin’s best clubs when it comes to great outdoor areas, the night was kinda chilly with great psychedelic dance stuff, the sun comes up, temperature is rising and underneath that big tree this person in a black hooded cape steps up, sets up her machines and starts a slow crawling psyched out set - a creeping collage of far out sounds, bits and pieces of everything you’ve ever heard but never knew, absolutely free of genre, sounds from all over the globe and the universe beyond, ingeniously glued together, leaving you puzzled, amazed, smiling, moving, dancing. Enter C.love.

I knew some of her edits before, but this performance simply blew me away. A few months later I got in contact with her, asking if she’d like to contribute to our mix series, telling her how dazzled she left me that morning with that set and how much of a great memory of last summer she left. Luckily she wasn’t only honored to be part, but said „Well, I recorded that set - how about making it my monday mixtape contribution?“. Yes, it couldn’t get any better.

„This is the re-production of a set I played at Grizzlynation 29-9-14. At this moment gentle rains were falling across the green vistas of Northern Europe while fires were tearing through the sun quenched Sierra Nevada (my Homeland). This was my Call for Rain as we watched the sunrise on a crisp Berlin morning. This mix is a cross section of the more cryptic and mystic music that has come through my hands. The music that interests me spans genres and time periods flowing from the shadows into the light. Always into the light.“

Listening to her stuff makes it hard to figure out her roots - musically, culturally, geographically and temporally. She seems to be a free floating, border- and limitless person. Roots on the road, literally. A nomad by heart. Destination?

„This year I have some exciting things coming up. Lunar Festival looks to be a special treat. I’ll be making my musical contribution in a decked out casbah tent. I’m lucky enough to share the bill with names like Sun Ra Arkestra, Psychemagik and Lovefingers which is mind blowing in itself! I also have a release coming out on Gator Boots. It’s a white-label featuring 3 of my re-works. This is sure to be a great record to toss in any summer party crate. Nothing but good vibes there. And I’m traveling around Europe, North Africa, and The UK for the next year. Searching for vibrant dance floors, intriguing rhythms, friendly faces, and gigs.“
