NEW ERA‘S “HERITAGE SERIES”

paying homage to the first professional baseball cap

With planned releases throughout 2014, the Heritage Series by the iconic cap maker NEW ERA will put a light on its own truly remarkable story. New Era was the first to bring a high quality, handcrafted uniform cap to baseball, which will now be reintroduced to a whole new generation through the Heritage Series debut release, the “1934 Collection”.

The first drop will see New Era launch the 1934 Collection, paying homage to the first professional baseball cap, created for the Cleveland Indians’ home game back in 1934. It also features designs exclusively for other US 1934 World Series finalists including the Detroit Tigers, New York Yankees, New York Giants and the 1934 World Series winners, the St.Louis Cardinals.

The 1934 Collection consists of six exclusive caps showcasing the 19TWENTY cap that has become a cherished silhouette within New Era’s headwear archive. Replicating the original designs from 1934, the caps feature detailed stitching both within the logo and the embroidery, a hard-wearing sweatband and the use of high-quality Melton Wool, bringing a blend of traditional elements to create a truly distinctive and authentic collection.

The Heritage Series will be available at European stockists, including Starcow, Firmament and Size? as well as New Era Retail stores in London, Birmingham, Berlin, Paris and Frankfurt. Lodown Magazine joined in at the global launch last evening at Firmament. Enjoy some snapshots and detail photos of the collection.
