Pictoplasma Berlin 2016

International Art & Design Conference & Festival

Each spring, Pictoplasma transforms Berlin into the international meeting point for a diverse scene of artists and creatives, trailblazing the face of tomorrow's visual culture. The annual Festival showcases latest trends in fine and urban arts, illustration, animation film and graphic design.

Held in multiple locations in Berlin (mostly across Mitte and Neukolln), 2016 see’s the 12th edition of Pictoplasma. This year the festival zooms away from the face, and takes a wider look at characters overall posture and attitude, considering how appearance conveys personality and character.

The festival encompases beautiful and fascinating venues such as Villa Elisabeth - the impressive heritage building with its spacious and historic atmosphere in Mitte, functions as this year’s Festival center. On Thursday and Friday night, engaging art happenings turn the Villa into a visionary playground.

To do this there will be 15 gallery exhibitions, animation screenings and many more performances, workshops and events. Many of the artists will be showing their work for the first time in Berlin.

Pictoplasma runs from  4 - 8 May - be sure to be there if you're in Berlin!
