The new technologies offer some great opportunities for creative visuals, and since the last decade mapping on buildings became increasingly popular.

For the aptly titled "Circle of Light" festival in Moscow in 2014, the Raduga Design agency presented an original artwork project called “Signal” which stand out from the usual mapping. Instead of playing with the lights and shadows of a building to create optical effects, they focused on the flat texture of the building itself.

The goal was to symbolize the passing time, its evolution linked with the fact that it’s a Soviet building. Geometrical shapes, a mix of colours and blurred lines are giving a contemporary vivid life to this imposing concrete building.
