Shobu Tsuchiya

Childhood's End

Our good friend Shobu Tsuchiya is having a little in store show at Firmament Berlin. (Remember Cover 39?)
Showcasing works from his 2013 book named Childhood's End.

In far far future, 90% of mankind was facing extinction.
The appearance of those whom survived were completely transformed.
Their bodies transparent, bones in full view. Some had horns, some had thorns, their vocal cords degenerated, and as a result all communication was done so through mental telepathy... the birth of the Mutant.

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1963, Shobu moved forward to graduate from Nihon University College of Art in Tokyo.

Together with the illustrator Makiko Umeki, he represents Apollo Inc. As a member of the Tokyo Illustrators Society, his works have been showcased across diverse platforms spanning such fields as editorial, web, highly collectible vinyl toys, as well as advertising.
Hand selected works from his dark yet vibrant Childhoods End series are now on display here at Firmament, and are also available for purchase until January 15th, 2016.

Support his lovely works, and support the cause!
