On Tuesday, JULY 2nd 2019, DC Shoes will proudly host The “SO_LO_DOWN - Joined Session", a skate, exhibit & party event extravaganza at breathtaking Fluxbau.

For the fifth time in a row DC Shoes will kick off Berlin´s Fashion Week with an outstanding gathering of skate industry folks, alluring Berlin originals and, of course, some of the best skateboarders worldwide. Represented by the global team of DC Shoes, supported by local heroes and artistically refined by illustrious Denyo aka DJ Rap-A-Lot (Beginner), DJ Reaf and DJ Keen One from Miami, an action-packed day will culminate in a never-to-be forgotten summer night at beautiful Fluxbau. It´s one-of-a-kind off-shore terrace will not only be the stage for this day´s final skate session, but will also impress with one of most touching sceneries over river Spree from the former West onto world famous East Side Gallery, the relics of the Berlin Wall. Here, directly in the middle of the previous Iron Curtain and border of rival systems, we´ll celebrate the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 and with it, the rise of the city to one of the most wanted skateboard destinations on the planet. To honor this historical incident, the creative minds of DC Shoes´ longstanding media partners, Lodown Magazine and SOLO Skateboard Magazine, will present their aesthetic re-interpretations of some well-picked DC Shoes silhouettes in a gentle exhibition. Additionally guests are welcome to grab a blank pair for a small donation to re-design it their way in a nice, little workshop. The amount collected will be handed over to Karuna, an organization supporting homeless Berlin street kids.

But before the actual festivity starts, the global team of DC Shoes namely Tiago Lemos, Wes Kremer, Evan Smith, Tristan Funkhouser, John Shanahan, Josef Skott Jatta, Madars Apse, Thaynan Costa, Tiago Lopes, Leo Valls, Shintaro Hongo and John Gardner along with selected riders will go for the spot hopping cash-for-tricks bus tour through Europe´s skateboard wonderland. By early afternoon we´ll start from Titus Berlin with final destination being the Fluxbau to get ready for some entertaining as well as amazing skateboard action.

To spice up the fun, our friends from Titus, who will also send some of their renowned riders to the game, will contribute €1.500 to earn cash for tricks and the best trick of the day. Folks who like to be part of the cruise are welcome to follow #dcshoesbln and/or #dctrippin for the next spot and the latest tricks hammered.
