There's still some time left until we celebrate Record Store Day on April 19th, but this one here almost seems to be too good to be true already: Lefse Records just announced “Space Project“, which is a collection of songs from 14 artists who used unique sound recordings from space - material that was recorded by the Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 that NASA launched in 1977 - to create their very own soundscapes.

Lefse will release the whole thing on vinyl, CD and as a 7" box set. The selection of artists involved is just superb: Beach House, The Holydrug Couple, Mutual Benefit, Larry Gus, Spiritualized, Porcelain Raft and Benoit & Sergio to name just a few.
