Spice is consisting of Ross Farrar (vocals), Jake Casarotti (drums) - which you might remember from Matador's post-punk heroes Ceremony - Cody Sullivan (bass), Ian Simpson (guitar), and Victoria Skudlarek (violin). They're completely awesome and will release their self-titled debut via Dais Records on July 17.

They combine pop sensibilites and frantic noise to perfection, a sound that evokes the best bits and pieces of Bob Mould's and Jawbreaker's oeuvre. A sound that our dear friend Erik Hüsken carried close to his heart ever since he discovered labels like SST or Homestead Records.

This one here's for you. Rest in peace, dude. You'll be sorely missed!
