The first trailer of 'Straight Outta Compton', which dramatizes the rise of rap group NWA, comes complete with a long intro featuring founding members Ice Cube and hip hop’s first billionaire Dr Dre. Back in the 1980’s their first album named “Straight Outta Compton” was breaking the silence of a generation by rebelling in music against abusive authority and telling to the world the truth about the American life. 

The film set against the conservative climate that was freaked out by the vivid portrayal of urban life in the 1980’s, and goes at least up to the 1992 riots that were sparked by the beating of Rodney King.

NWA became a cult and there is no doubt that this movie will resonate since it’s produced by original N.W.A. members Ice Cube and Dr. Dre, directed by F. Gary Gray and Starring O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Cube’s son), Corey Hawkins and Jason Mitchell as Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and Eazy-E.

Release will be on August 14, 2015.
