As soon as it arrived in late 2020, Stranded’s “Post Merdian EP“ became one of our favorite records of the year due to its pitch-perfect combination of clubland and post punk.
This September David Mansfield’s project will be back with a new album titled “Midnight Sun“ via Double Phantom Records, which strips away the club aspects of aforementioned EP in favor of putting his new wave and and post-punk roots into the spotlight.

A first teaser just arrived in the shape of “Hesitation“, with an accompanying vid animated by TJ Blake.

And there’s more good news: Alongside stepping out from his role as a producer David Mansfield is also announcing the re-launch of Double Phantom Records, his underground label that was home to Balkans, Algiers, Mood Rings, and more.
