If you are in Switzerland on the weekend of 6-8 March, make sure that you visit Europe’s freestyle snowboard mecca Laax and check out the inaugural ‘Sudden Rush Laax Banked Slalom Open” presented by Terje Haakonsen and Nicolas Mueller.

Terje and Nico? Yes indeed, Sudden Rush head honcho Chris Bachmann has pulled a big one out of the hat and two of the most legendary snowboarders ever will be in Laax to take part in this new Banked Slalom event. It will be a jam that’s all about celebrating individual creativity and soul shredding and ‘Sudden Rush Laax 2015’ will surely reinvigorate one of ‘the’ original snowboard disciplines. You can expect fast and furious racing through banked turns and riders can start in three different categories (Juniors: 14-17/Open: 18-40/Masters: +40). So whether you just want to watch, or fancy yourself taking on some of the style masters of modern snowboarding in a race – the Banked Slalom Open will definitely be one of the events of the winter. And as it happens in Laax, you can be guaranteed to find some chilled vibes and good parties throughout the weekend!
