Dollkraut
holy ghost people - full stream
Sadly, electronic (dance) music these days has the tendency to be all the same, since it’s designed - yep, this actually is the accurate term - with the very same digital toolbox. Pascal Pinkert aka Dollkraut though is a rare exception to the rule, as he’s delivering a necessary antidote to sterile music productions. A spiritual brother of the mighty Rockford Kabine, he joyfully oscillates between sleazy Giallo soundtracks, oldschool motorik, analog lo-fi electro, wave and the experimental side of Krautrock, resulting in a very satisfying, new kind of haunting electronic psych.
Now officially a trio, Dollkraut is about to release their next stroke of genius “Holy Ghost People“ on March 10 via Dischi Autunno - a new label with a soft spot for crossborder works founded by Jennifer Cardini and Noura Labbani.
