Claire Carré's debut is one of those festival favourites that certainly will end up in a lot of those “best of“ lists by the end of the year - regardless of the impossibility of a wider release.

“Embers“ is one of those thought-provoking indie scifi-flicks that isn't too interested in spectacle, really, but loves to deliver a psychological nightmare instead as it depicts an apocalyptic vision of a world where a strange plague causes the loss of any kind of explicit memory.
