Providence noise-punk duo Lightning Bolt has shared a new track, "The Metal East". The song is taken from their upcoming sixth album, Fantasy Empire, which Thrill Jockey will release on March 27 2015. Listen below.

Fantasy Empire is Lightning Bolt’s first album in five years, a fresh take from a band intent on pushing themselves musically and sonically while maintaining the aesthetic that has defined not only them, but an entire generation of noisemakers. It marks many firsts, most notably their first recordings made using hi-fi recording equipment at the famed Machines With Magnets. The band also described the album as more 'metal' than previous releases, which they credited to a willingness to explore different moods this time around.
