The Berlin based Art Gallery Wagner + Partner announced the second solo exhibition of the painter Bastian Boersig. His dynamically abstract painting has recently become known to a larger public and in the spring of this year his first major catalogue was published by Distanz.

Boersigs art always oscillates between reality and abstraction. The comic-like characteristic and the brash use of colour makes them witty but also punchy.

Bastian Boersig (1984*) was born in Schwäbisch Hall and studied   under Prof. Erwin Gross at the Academy of Fine Arts, Karlsruhe. Boersig was awarded the city of Karlsruhe’s visual arts stipend as well as the art prize.
