Bicycle Film Festival

20th anniversary

Friends of the Bicycle Film Festival can treat themselves this weekend! The BFF Downtown NY present a 90-minute film program of Select Shorts featuring films by or about:

Kenzo Minami, Dan Deacon, Peter Sutherland, Tyrone Williams, YAEJI, Oscar-winning Orlando von Einsiedel, Noah Sheldon, Bike Rides for Black Lives hosted by Nigel Sylvester, Music by Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Nick Zinner, Cannes Film Festival winning Timothy Spall, and Iranian up-and-coming talent Teymour Ghaderi.

The Bicycle Film Festival was born in Downtown New York twenty years ago with events at Anthology Film Archives and Max Fish in its first year. Due to COVID-19, the 20th anniversary of the festival has gone virtual with a series of screenings over the next few months. The physical BFF spanned the world in over 90 cities worldwide to an audience of over one million people. The festival has an incredible history of working with the most important artists, filmmakers, venues, and institutions around the world.

'Thank you to the Downtown NY community for your support over the years and keeping BFF alive! We hope to offer some respite for you and your friends during this time.' the BFF
