House OF VANS LONDON

is killing it

“The House of Vans London is the physical manifestation of the cultures and creativity at the heart of the Vans brand. London is the perfect city to expand this original concept first established in Brooklyn and it’s an honour to take over this iconic venue from the Old Vic. We’re looking forward to building on this legacy, working closely with the local communities and key stakeholders involved in the project.” Jeremy de Maillard, VP of Marketing.

The opening event last Thursday was a blast. Starting off with a pleasant BBQ boat tour on the Thames. Tony Alva, Christian Hosoi, Geoff Rowley, Anthony Van Engelen, Daan Van Der Linden, Curren Caples, Sam Partaix and many more mingled and enjoyed the layback waterview.

Followed by the opening of the multipurpose space located in the five Old Vic Tunnels under the Waterloo Station. After we were able to check out all the features of the amazing venue, the stage was set on fire with an eclectic line-up: Toddla T, Savages, Illume Sphere, Roots Manuva, Dinosaur Jr and Public Enemy!

3,000 square metre are hosting a sweet bowl, skatepark, music venue, gallery, artist studios, cafe, cinema, bar and workshop spaces. Vans will host workshops for the public free of charge, while also teaming up with UK charity Old Vic New Voices to nurture young acting talents in performing arts.

The exhibition ‘Scissors & Glue’ is up- and running, inspirational talks from the exhibition’s curators are coming up, Lovenskate will get you involved with screen printing, Man Up Girl customize embroidery, Wah Nails decorate your nails and the AONO Barbershop ensure you're looking sharp.

Keep an eye on House Of Vans London and make sure to pre-register for a skate session.
