MONDAY MIXTAPE

FINK 'HORIZONTALISM'

Mr. Fin Greenall aka Fink sure is no stranger to this magazine: we’ve already covered him when he was still signed to the Ninja Tune imprint NTone and deejayed the living shit out of club Watergate with him back in the days. After a short hiatus he then basically re-invented himself as a blues and dub-informed singer songwriter with “Biscuits for Breakfast“, the starting point for a remarkable career that saw him transitioning from respected DJ/producer to celebrated musician who slowly but steadily managed to sell out even the biggest venues while always remaining true to himself and his musical vision.

Last autumn saw the release of “Live In Concert“ for which he - and his trusted band members - collaborated with The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra for a very different kind of performance. The forthcoming highly-anticipated studio album is finally scheduled for early summer and it’s a safe bet to say that it will open a new chapter to the Fink saga, as it embraces a bigger and more diverse sound without intimidating his fan base for a single second.

For our Monday Mixtape series he nods to his (electronic) past as much as he gives us an idea about his musical spectrum of today. Oh, and there might even be a few very, very exclusive ones thrown into the mix for good measure. Enjoy the ride.
