This time around the emphasis is on new technology like wireless smartphone charging, 3D printed parts, a display-screen bigger than your hand and something called the MINI Connected Concierge services. The new cars are also available with a 7-speed Steptronic transmission with double clutch instead of the standard six-speed manual gearbox.

Each model can be custom made-to order through a specially created online shop launching later this year. They offer Chester leather interiors, new patterns and several new colors like Emerald Grey metallic, Starlight Blue metallic, Solaris Orange metallic and premiere for Piano Black Exterior. One could also contribute their own text to add a specific touch of personal style.
