MONDAY MIXTAPE: BINTUS

ultimate drive-time #2

I met Bintus some years ago while we were spinning together the second floor of a Berlin club. By that time his moniker wasn’t around yet and he introduced himself as Milo Smee (he still is). While sitting next to another at the artist dinner before our gig, talking about (what?) music, it was clear within seconds that we’re about to play back to back. Boy, that was a funny night and i rarely had someone next to me that was so open minded, not caring about genres at all, taking risks and, by doing so, keeping the crowd going, playing electro after punk, letting hip hop bump into metal - all with finesse.

Same as this mix he did for Lodown, that he depicts as „it's totally my idea of perfect driving music“. It’s an hour of genre-free rollercoasting that’s highly enjoyable.

Watch out and keep updated with his projects Bintus, Kruton and his label Power Vacuum. As Kruton he provided the first release on Wrong Era - a new sublabel of Slow Motion - which will be out in December. And also forthcoming there's some Bintus electro savagery on Bedouin.
If you’re from around the Berlin area you’ll have the chance to see him live
here in January.

Now enjoy his monday rollercoaster ride! Stay unbelted - it’s way more fun.
