Mahagonee, a Budapest-based DJ and freelance graphic designer, first got me with his edits on soundcloud some years ago. His passion for music stems from his essential love for old school disco records and over the course of the years his edits also embrace balearic, funk, afro, authentic soul vibes and hypnotic krautrock. His professional DJ career dates back to 1999. In 2012, he started re-interpreting his favorite hits from Roxy Music, Mick Smiley, Mini, Odyssey, Hall and Oates… In 2011, Mahagonee teamed up with DJ Badihali and Carl oh to re-launch the ‘Diszkóvágás’ party series based on the popular underground disco podcast series hosted by Tilos Radio Budapest. From 2012 to 2013, Mahagonee’s weekly disco podcast - ‘Gumicukor’ - was broadcasted by the first Budapest based online music radio - Radio Neston. Along with fellow local DJs - Grabo’sky, Sazabio, Jupiter & Juno - Mahagonee started a party series for disco-lovers under the name of M.I.L.F. - Music I’d like to Funk.

For this monday’s contribution he mastered a mix that probably couldn’t get more summer, more vacation, more poolside, more beachy than that. The perfect companion for whatever you do on sunny 30°C+ days. All you need now is an ice cooled drink.
