NEU!

In 1971 visually and sonically, it was quite revolutionary to take the name and branding from the culture of advertising agencies of NEU!’s hometown Düsseldorf while creating a genre-influencing force. NEU! was formed by Klaus Dinger and Michael Rother, shortly after their split from Kraftwerk. Together with the legendary producer Conny Plank they were gliding in deep experimentation and sonic innovation to create three unique NEU! albums.

Carhartt WIP proudly presents the official NEU! capsule collection and blends the band′s iconic aesthetic with a host of classic garments, like pocket t-shirts, socks and white overalls (just like those worn by Klaus Dinger). Grönland Records has produced 1000 copies of the rare "SUPER/NEUSCHNEE" 7′′, which will be exclusively available at Carhartt WIP stores.

Both portraits of NEU! were taken by Peter Lindbergh in 1972.
