OLDIE BUT A GOLDIE #1

Martin Denny's Exotica

Someone pour me a West Indian Ginger Swizzle. Here comes some enchanting Tiki-magic by American piano-player and composer Martin Denny (1911-2005)best known as the 'father of exotica'.

Both an important aesthetic and genre establishing piece of art, this album was recorded in December 1956 and released in 1957. 'Exotica' not only inspired the name of the genre, but reached No. 2 on Billboard’s charts. Denny done good, we think!
