randweg vinyl package raffle

Re-walk through Kraut-related electro-acoustic landscapes.

About a year ago we had Randweg’s Andi Ernst as guest for our beloved Monday Mixtape series, where he mixed a bunch of unpredictable odd and fancy tunes he calls his influences. Now, a year later, after Randweg’s second album „Meanderlust“ got released, there’s a nice little add on for the jockeys in the stores since a few days by the name „Anderlust / Requisetales Remixes“ (Funken Records) - remixes of tracks from their two albums by Nick Höppner, Luke Abbott, Alex.Do and In A Left Place that are too good to not grab a copy. Even though Randweg’s success is rooted in the flirting of clarinet and the dancefloor, these pearls take it one step closer to the clubs.

Funny side story: Andi recorded our guest mix at a friend’s place as he’s not a DJ/ doesn’t own the equipment but the tools. So he hung out there one evening and another friend came over who happened to be one of our guest mixers too a while ago. They had some drinks, talked and he was fascinated by some of Andi’s tracks for the mix, so they kept being in contact and a year later he’s one of the aforementioned remixers.

For followers, fans and friends of our mix series it might be an easy task to guess who it might be. For you, dear listeners, we have a little raffle and give away a vinyl package including Randweg’s Equisetales, Meanderlust plus the remix EP. Just send in the name of the remixer we’re talking about at info(at)lodownmagazine(dot)com and we pick one who's receiving that goody bag. Know it or guess it. And make sure to include your name and adress.

Closing date is April 25th.
