We are a little bit late on that, but we had to digest this colab a little bit - we are pretty oldschool on the sneakerfront, since we have come such a long way. Colabs with adidas X bape or adidas X neighborhood, the two Japanese Streetwear heavyweights, have been such a blast around 2003 when the 35th anniversary of the Superstar Shelltoe was going down. But the game moves on - adidas invented the Boost technology and took kinda over on the knit/sock technology by drafting some serious developers from… yes…Nike. Just say NMD or EQT. The sneaker game is moving fast these days and so colabs do. Its almost to unreal what is released almost every month. Now we have a BAPE x NEIGHBORHOOD x SUPERSTAR with Knit and Boost technology. The question is whats happening next? The fragmentation of icons and re-puzzling all kinds of influences could rather mean the end of the before mentioned or lead to new species - but if those outcomes are to overloaded with contextual info it might fall apart on the consumer end.
