John Nguyen's visually impressive “The Art Life“ just premiered at Venice, and now a first trailer has surfaced. The documentary is putting the upbringing - and formative years in general - of the celebrated director and visual maverick Lynch into its very focus... so it's a lot more about painting and creative processes than about filmmaking. The film includes audio taken from over 20 long conversations Nguyen had with Lynch.
