« Paradox.Paradise » is a rare photographic event, not only owing to the captivating subject - the enigmatic and ever elusive Berlin graffiti writer Mr.Paradox.Paradise - but also the photographic maestria & athletic quality required to take photographs as close and dramatic as possible, an absolute photographic « tour de force » that paradoxically feels effortless.

Akin to an embedded war photographer, the risk-taking of both the subject and his photographer are immense. Photography captures a moment in time but that still image is nonetheless vibrant with life. What renders Lukas K Stiller photographs even more striking are us imagining the ghastly wind atop a 100m high tower before the unfathomable descent, the frailty of the rope and the reliance on a makeshift abseiling device and hooks, if not the adrenaline of a possible capture.

Whether it is rooftop and invisible calligraphy, « spiritual letters » glued on buildings, rope down graffiti, trainsurfing the underground brand new U5 subway line, Paradox is on all fronts and so is Lukas, defying the laws of gravity.

A photobook of the whole photographic series will be released by Urban Spree Books early July 2022 in a regular edition as well as a special edition with signed photographs. In addition,  the physical release of Paradox's latest movie « Spiritual Letters » is also planned for Summer 2022.
