Can you design a better future? If your designs are driven by innovation and a radical new approach, you might be part of the next wave of design #disruptors.
DESIGNBOOM, in collaboration with Oakley, is looking for  design #disruptors who will be able to challenge expectations and amaze the world with their approach.

The main objective is to create an innovative design that will disrupt elite sports performance in a way that hasn't been seen before. The two winners of the Oakley European Design competition will win a week all expenses paid trip to California, USA to work with Oakley’s research and development team, two-day workshop at the internationally renowned Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, one lunch with Peter Yee and Brian Takumi of the Oakley design team with the opportunity to seek tips and advice, one portfolio review with senior member of the Oakley design team, an exclusive tour of the One Icon facilities, a tour of disruption in California to include a visit to SpaceX, the revolutionary space technology company, and a 3D printed prototypes of the winning design.

Designers are asked to seek inspiration in the most unique places, to push boundaries to the max, and to come up with the most innovative ideas. It must be something that we never seen before, something that we can’t even think of. The idea needs to be more than just an adaptation of what already exists. It needs to be new and radical. This competition aims to find the next generation of disruptive designers who will make the world sit up and take notice because of their innovative approaches and radical concepts.

Consumers will also be able to be part of this amazing experience with the DISURPT O-GRAM, a photo ‘glitching’ app,that will allow creative people to be directly involved with the campaign. Preloaded with three missions, users can upload photos relating to the themes of cycles, city or sport and disruptors their images for a chance to win Oakley Heritage prizes!!!!!!
