monday mixtape & VIDEO PREMIERE: enea pascal
Avada Kedavra
The Torino area might be best known for being Italy’s automotive epicenter and its good car design (well, at least in its heydays), less for a vibrant music scene. But polished metal, speed, br(e)ak(e)s, burnt rubber and high volume sound could easily be taken as reference points and similaritiy when it comes to today’s Monday Mixtape by Enea Pascal.
Hailing from Ivrea, Enea is the youngest resident and one of the co-founders of the Ivreatronic family (together with Fabio Fabio, Cosmo and SPLENDORE). He’s a sucker for rough and ready drum tracks and organic sounds that come to life with clever electronics, sampling of modular basses, glitchy drums with a punk attitude, always walking the fine line between the raucous ends of house and the bright experimentalist strands of electro. After last year’s debut “Golden Bocia”, his follow up “Papa Boy” will hit the streets and dancefloors on February 8th (both on Ivreatronic).
Since ”Papa Boy“ really blew us away on first listen, we’re more than happy to premiere its video (directed by Gioacchino Turù) along with his mix contribution.
